A successful Halloween at Brown Books!

Massive thanks to Jo, Babs, William, Jude and Alan for dressing up and helping out with the events, to Mary for Creepy Crafts and to Aaron (A Children’s Story) for Spooky Stories. And to all our volunteers for their help with the Halloween Trail, encouraging guess how many sweets are in the jar entries – we’ll announce the winner tomorrow – and decorating.

26 children took part in guess the number of sweets in the Halloween jar (we’ll be doing another one for Christmas) and 38 had a go at the Halloween trail.

We’ve switched the display over already, resisted the urge to go straight into Christmas, and so our Autumn Reads are in the window from tomorrow.

We open at 12 noon as winter hours have started.
