Luton Literature CIC would like to thank those funders and supporters that have enabled us to deliver our bi-annual book festival, our creative writing projects and the huge number of activities that take place in our lovely little shop, Brown Books Community Bookshop.

Current funders and supporters

Luton Literature is supported by Peoples Postcode Trust. Funds raised by players benefit a variety of charities and good causes and funding is distributed through 20 Postcode Trusts.

For Luton Literature, this means vital support with our literature projects delivered across the year and through our Community Bookshop, Brown Books.

Previous funders and supporters

Luton Literature Book Festival has been Funded by Arts Council England, with funding support from Luton Rising, Luton BID, and Flamingo Arts, and was supported by 1 Degree East, The Culture Trust, Luton Libraries and the University of Bedfordshire.

Brown Books Community Bookshop has been funded by Peoples Postcode Trust, Luton Citizens Fund, The Wixamtree Trust and The Connolly Foundation.

Our CEO was awarded the EVOLVE grant in 2024.

ACE support art and culture using public money from the Government and the National Lottery. A condition of the public’s support for public funding for arts and culture is knowing where and how their money is being spent. This is why using our logo is a condition of receiving your grant award.

Luton Rising is a business and social enterprise that is owned by a sole shareholder, Luton Council, for community benefit, not private shareholders.

Luton BID is a Business Improvement District. It is managed by the Luton BID Ltd and project managers Partnerships for Better Business Ltd (pfbb UK)

Flamingo Arts is a group of local Artists who run community engagement art projects, mainly in Luton. They were based in High Town, where they carried out workshops and events, but now get together to deliver projects.
