Luton Literature values diversity and representation, creating inclusive spaces for marginalised voices. Their Book Festival programme features authors from diverse backgrounds, challenging stereotypes, promoting empathy, and bridging cultural gaps.
The Panel Discussion with the shortlisted writers of the SI Leeds Prize 2024, is led by former winner of the prize, Mahsuda Snaith. She will be joined by Maeve Clarke, Arathi Menon, Jac Shreeves-Lee, Angelita Lapuz Bradney, Nazish Khan-Lane and Pauline Walker.
The SI Leeds Literary Prize amplifies underrepresented voices, offering fresh perspectives on love, family, and resilience while fostering cultural awareness; it champions diversity by celebrating unpublished fiction by Black and Asian women, ensuring these important stories receive the recognition they deserve.
The discussion is sure to inspire aspiring writers and readers alike, offering rich conversation on the importance of diverse narratives and the impact of literature in shaping cultural understanding. This event promises to be both thought-provoking and empowering.
